Aspen Group Expands to Build More Churches
Aspen Group, an integrated design, build, and furnish company for churches, has expanded its territory into the Southeastern United States. This move, centered between Charleston, SC, and Savannah, GA, represents a significant extension of Aspen’s two decades-plus service to churches in the Midwest.
This opportunity was presented to Aspen when Cogun, a church building company and co-founding partner of the Cornerstone Knowledge Network (theckn.com) with Aspen Group, made the difficult decision to close its doors. The Couchenour family, who owned Cogun for 45 years, held a deep desire to see the churches they had been serving treated well through the transition and asked Aspen to consider working with those clients.
“Through events we did not seek out, we have sensed that God has laid an opportunity to grow and establish a presence in another region,” says Aspen president, Brad Eisenmann. Aspen has been serving churches from its headquarters in Frankfort, IL, outside of Chicago, and in Carmel, IN, outside of Indianapolis. With a new team in South Carolina, the company, awarded the Best Christian Workplace designation in 2015, is poised to also serve major populations, such as Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte in North Carolina, Atlanta, GA, and Orlando, FL.
Pat Kase will serve as Aspen’s senior project developer in the Southeast, and Steve Cruze will straddle dual roles as senior project manager and project developer. Both men bring decades of experience leading churches through building projects, most recently from their work with Cogun.
