First Healthy Church Meeting Convenes

Dr. R. Lamar Vest, Dr. Bryan Cutshall, and Bill Isaacs have partnered to create a one-day training experience for pastors and local church leaders called “The Healthy Church,” and the first of several such conferences recently took place in Illinois, according to a report by State Administrative Bishop Dennis Page.

“The consultation was a wonderful experience for more than 275 pastors and church leaders from all across the state,” he said.
This learning experience is designed to identify the culture in which healthy churches grow through the Acts 2 model of discipleship, evangelism, fellowship, and worship, according to the conveners.

The Healthy Church Conference team is working with several administrative bishops to schedule the one-day training event in Florida, Eastern North Carolina, South Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Delmarva. Registration is performed through Churchtrainer.com or the state/ regional office, depending on the preference of the host administrative bishop.

The instructors include experienced, effective church leaders. Vest is president of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary and former general overseer. Cutshall is the founder and director of Church Trainer, and the author of numerous training resources. Bill Isaacs serves as the director of the Center for Pastoral Excellence.

“The subjects and information shared by the facilitators covered all the elements needed to create a healthy church culture,” Page explained. “Our leaders left the conference inspired, informed, and motivated to go back to their local churches and join their pastors to implement principles of leadership and church growth.”
