Two Firewall Buildings Dedicated
Last October, the regional Firewall Center for coastal West Africa was dedicated in Senegal, with Field Director Thomas and Regional Superintendent Mills officiating. Several guests from Germany, the U.S. and South Africa were in attendance.
The building was purchased with funds from the 2014 YWEA drive. With some remodeling, it now accommodates the Church’s national office, a sanctuary for the local congregation, seminar and guest facilities, as well as, living quarters for the family of the national overseer and of a missionary family.
According to a report received from Men and Women of Action, the people of the church “danced and rejoiced over the beautiful building being dedicated for the glory of God.”
In Central Mozambique, after several months of dedicated work, supported by generous stateside donors, the regional Firewall Ministries Center and Church of God in central Mozambique is now completed and in use. For years, the congregation worshipped under a tarp between walls of a large, unfinished building they had been able to purchase. Now fitted with a steel-frame roof, walls plastered, windows and doors installed and everything nicely painted, the congregation is gearing up for more effective ministry and outreach. The center will also serve as regional hub for the integration and further development of the many new congregations planted in this area.
The Africa Firewall Project is an initiative of Men and Women of Action, under the auspices of Church of God World Missions and in cooperation with the leadership of the Church of God in Africa. Individuals and churches are invited to share in the work and blessing of raising a firewall of God’s Spirit, grace and love across the African continent.
