Latin American Leaders Gather in Cleveland
Six Latin American administrative bishops met recently at the International Offices in Cleveland, Tennessee, for in-service training, hosted by Latin American Field Director David Ramirez.
The leaders represented the Latin America Executive Council: Dr. Francisco Jimenez, Dr. Otoniel Collins, Dr. Eduardo Drachenberg, Dr. Expedito de Melo, Rev. Julio Melendez, and Rev. Andrés Rincon.
Sessions were conducted during an entire week, providing the opportunity for dialogue with World Missions Director Tim Hill, Assistant World Missions Director John D. Childers, Director of People for Care and Learning Fred Garmon, General Overseer Mark Williams, Pentecostal Theological Seminary Professor Cheryl Johns, Director of Benefits Board Art Rhodes, and Esq. Dennis Watkins, among others.
The framework of the sessions was the Vision 20/20-6R, a 10-year vision that is providing direction and traction to the work in Latin America. The week culminated in a two-hour session on Multi-Site churches with pastors: Kevin Wallace, Ely Bonilla, Eduardo Ureña, Byron Strobe, Roberto Taton, and Andres Miranda.
Of the time invested, Field Director Ramirez said: “It was a very good meeting!”
Latin America continues to be a leading region in soul-winning and church planting in the Church of God.
