Church of God, OneHope Sign ‘Global Partnership’
OneHope, an international ministry that is changing lives by sharing scripture with children and youth around the world, recently signed an agreement of ‘global partnership’ with the Church of God. The signing ceremony took place at the Church of God International Offices and included officials with OneHope and the Church of God International Executive Committee.
Rob Hoskins, president of OneHope, officiated the signing ceremony. Chad Causey, vice president of ministry design, was also present.
Since 1987, OneHope has reached more than 1.1 billion young people in 179 countries with a relevant Gospel message, in partnership with local churches around the world. The organization projects to reach more than 100 million young people this year alone through targeted Scripture engagement programs and products designed to meet heartfelt needs with the truth found in God’s Word.
“Outcome-based ministry principles help understand what is working and what isn’t, and we empower partner churches and ministries to embrace this model to become more effective in their ministry outreach,” Hoskins stated. “OneHope has made an intentional organizational shift to embed research into every level of our work. Our extensive research into the attitudes and behavior of children and youth empowers our development team to create the best and most effective Scripture engagement products.”
Through Biblically based programs such as the Book of Hope, The GodMan film, and The Bible
App for Kids, millions of young people have been reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
“OneHope partners with tens of thousands of local churches around the world because we understand that we cannot do this alone,” Hoskins continued. “The work of reaching every child with God’s Word is not OneHope’s work, it is the work of the Church. We commit ourselves to a deep understanding of what it takes to engage the next generation with the Gospel, partner with local practitioners, and utilize research to develop effective Scripture engagement materials that speak to the heartfelt needs of young people.”
In addition to church partnerships, OneHope partners with key influencers and world-changers to leverage their expertise in key areas of need. For example, the organization’s, Spiritual State of the World’s Children study— the largest multi-nation research project of its kind— revealed that teens in Ghana did not understand the importance being good leaders as a critical element to their future success.
While OneHope currently works with thousands of Church of God churches around the world, OneHope leaders anticipate new opportunities to partner and serve in more intentional ways “for such a time as this.” OneHope believes a strategic alliance with influencers and leaders such as the Church of God, will allow them to better meet the needs of young people both in the U.S. and throughout the world.
The agreement, signed by Hoskins and Church of God General Overseer Tim Hill, states that the two groups enter into a global partnership to, “affect destiny by providing God’s Word to children and youth.” The document further states that OneHope will, “serve the Church of God ministry throughout their denominational body by providing scripture engagement resources through both print and digital formats to children and youth within the Church of God denomination worldwide.”
