Continued Prayer for Las Vegas Shooting Victims Needed
CLEVELAND, TN: Our nation and church continue to mourn the loss of lives in the Sunday night shooting melee in Las Vegas that killed dozens of people and injured hundreds more.
“We are continuing to monitor the situation in Las Vegas – and the follow-up that our local churches are having with the families of those who lost their lives and those who were injured. In times of such senseless violence, the church has to be a safe place where those who are hurting can find comfort and peace, and most importantly, where they can come to a personal relationship with the Great Comforter,” stated Dr. Tim Hill, General Overseer of the Church of God.
The Church of God has four congregations in Las Vegas or the immediate vicinity. The pastors and membership of those congregations are doing all they can to assist the families that have been impacted by this horrendous national tragedy.
Please continue to pray for all that have been touched by this act of violence, as well as for our churches and leaders who are seeking to provide assistance in such a troubled time.
