Christ’s Birthday Offering 2017
For numerous years, Church of God World Missions has featured the Christ’s Birthday Offering in December to honor the birth of the King—Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. The amount is concurrent with the year; i.e., 2017 is $20.17. Not a large donation by economic standards, it can be donated without great effort, but the differences it can make are huge and far-reaching when combined with others!
During the holiday season, even the secular realm has thoughts of giving gifts, not only to family and friends, but to the less fortunate. Countless organizations come to the forefront with appeals for their charities. In many places on the mission field, even a small donation can have a great impact in a third world country.
Christ’s Birthday Offering is the life-support for many disasters affecting the Church of God around the world. The disasters this year alone have been unprecedented in their numbers. With demand so extensive, CBO needs a marked increase to affect disaster relief. Additional circumstances are emergency medical assistance, funeral expenses, food and clothes for orphans … the list goes on.
Not only does the mission field look to World Missions for help, so do the communities and the disenfranchised of the world. World Missions has always accepted its responsibilities and done its part to relieve suffering.
God continues to use World Missions in showing the love of Christ wherever it’s needed!
