Youth & Discipleship Holds 2020 Leadership Summit
Cleveland, TN–January 9-11, 2020 the Youth & Discipleship Department hosted its annual Leadership Summit at Church of God International Offices.

Youth Directors from around the globe attended the gathering for a time of training, prayer, and fellowship. Attendees were given specific training on finance management, legal responsibilities, and other relevant topics of concern.
A highlight of the conference was the YD Benchmark Initiative headed by Dr. Fred Garmon that sought to aide individuals in understanding themselves and others better in order to foster productive and cohesive ministry relationships. During this time, Executive Committee members Dr. Tim Hill, Dr. David Ramirez, and Dr. John D. Childers each met with the directors to challenge, encourage, and impart wisdom. Dr. Thomas Propes, World Missions Director, also addressed the group regarding the significant relationship between World Missions and the Youth World Evangelism Action (YWEA) initiatives.
At the conclusion of the summit, Dr. David Blair, International Youth & Discipleship Director, shared some reflections on the time spent with the Yand D leadership: “Truly, we have some of the most passionate and skilled State/Regional/National leaders on the planet. We celebrated $1,241,000.00 in Youth Missions giving as well as thousands of youth and children who made a decision for Christ in 2019… We can’t wait to see what God will do in 2020 and beyond with the Jeremiah Generation!”
