Lee Day Live to Take Place Online April 17-18
Cleveland, TN–Lee University’s annual preview weekend, Lee Day, has been redesigned to welcome prospective students and their families to “virtually” discover life at Lee on April 17-18.
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the university decided to cancel the on-campus Lee Day event, originally scheduled for April 3-4, which had over 40 different events on the schedule.
“For many years, Lee Day has been the most successful recruitment event on the university’s calendar,” said Phil Cook, vice president for enrollment. “This year, Lee Day Live will be a virtual experience providing an opportunity for prospective students and their families to experience online why Lee continues to be one of the leading Christ-centered liberal arts universities in the country.”
Beginning Friday, April 17, at 6 p.m., Lee Day participants will have 24 hours to explore majors and academic programs, learn the ins and outs of financial aid opportunities, meet “live” with faculty and staff (through Zoom), and qualify for one of eight scholarships and hundreds of Amazon gift cards.
Cook went on to explain in further detail that the event will provide virtual campus tours, including drone footage showcasing views perhaps no one has seen before; tours of residence halls; a video “Coffee with President Conn” session; live chat with admissions staff; and the scholarship drawing held live.
“Even though we are using a new format, Lee Day Live promises to give prospective students and their families the best possible look into life at Lee and to answer their important questions,” said Lee President Dr. Paul Conn.
