Men’s Discipleship Appoints Hispanic Regional Leader
Church of God Men’s Discipleship (also known as Men’s LifeBuilders) recently made another significant move toward a greater global presence throughout the Church of God.
Church of God Men’s Discipleship has as their mission statement “To bring men together in order to develop them into true disciples who are empowered by the Spirit to be spiritually influential men, husbands, fathers, witnesses to the world, and armor bearers for their pastors.”
On September 16, a strategic meeting was held with International Men’s Discipleship Director Dr. O. Wayne Brewer, Bishop Angel Marcial (Field Director for Central and South America), Rev. Humberto Tossas (Men’s Discipleship Director for the Southeast Hispanic Region), who served as translator. In this meeting the formalization of the new appointment of the Men’s Discipleship Director for Central and South America, Lemuel Rivera, was enacted.
“Bishop Lemuel Rivera, an anointed leader with a burden for developing Pentecostal men of God was officially installed,” said Brewer. “Through Men’s Life Builders (EdifIcadores de Vida), Bishop Rivera’s driving passion is to disciple and mobilize true Pentecostal men of God in the multiple nations of Central and South America to join their Church of God brothers throughout the Caribbean nations , the U.K., Canada and the United States.”
Brewer went on to say, ” in light of the fact that statistics tell us that when a man/father is the first person in the family to come to faith in Christ, the rest of the family will follow him into the Church over 90% of the time, the implications for the Great Commission and church growth are exciting!”
