Men and Women of Action Report on Haiti

The devastation in Haiti from the resent earthquakes is tremendous and the Church of God’s Men and Women of Action is receiving many calls and emails concerning how to help the people of Haiti.

At this moment flights into the Port-au-Prince airport are only being allowed by designated organizations that are transporting water, food and medical supplies. Commercial or private planes are not being allowed to land. Also there are increasing security problems and we have been informed that all relief teams working in Haiti have armed security with them.

Due to so many logistical obstacles and the desperate need for trained and medical assistance, MWOA is assessing how and when we can be of the greatest help. Our Director, Hugh Carver, flew out January 21, to the Dominican Republic on route to Haiti. Please be patient with us as we work with the Haitian officials and gain access to provide help. We will keep you updated as we receive information.

Thank you for your concern and desire to help. At this time, the best way you can make a difference is by donating to the relief effort.
