Missions Giving Report

Church of God General Director of world Missions Douglas LeRoy gives a report of missions giving in these changing times.

By Douglas LeRoy

God has blessed our efforts to reach a world for Christ. Your gifts have made a difference in the lives of almost 6 million members of Church of God congregations in 179 countries and territories (not including US and Canada). Thousands have been saved and hundreds of churches have been planted. We continue to train over 30,000 workers in 117 Bible Schools, and assist in the operation of 74 orphanages, elementary and secondary schools, and medical clinics. Your faithfulness to God is deeply appreciated.

World Missions focuses on four major ministries:

(1) Win the lost
(2) Disciple believers
(3) Train workers
(4) Care for the homeless and needy

We continue to focus on reaching 70 Unreached People Groups. We have established churches and won people to Christ among 17 of the groups.

Over 300 missionaries are committed to fulfilling God’s call and your partnership in prayer and finances makes this possible.

A financial report from our auditors is available on the World Missions Web site www.cogwm.org. It gives the overall view of our finances for this past year. Our receipts for 2 ½ percent were down 4.41 percent and our auxiliary giving was down 9.81 percent. We are making adjustments to meet these financial challenges.

World Missions continues to send 100 percent of your donations for the purpose for which the donor designates.

The door is open. We must walk through. We must be strong and persevere. This is not a day to hesitate. The harvest demands reapers.

God bless you abundantly.
