Missionberries
Enoch Joel, my son, is a four year old World Missions donor. He recognizes the missionary we support, missionaries to South America – Rick and Janice Waldrop, by the magnet on our refrigerator. He calls them “Missionberries.”
He has donated to missions twice; the first time he gave all that he had – $3. The second time he gave $1 – half of what he had. Praise the Lord!
I never talked to him about giving to missions, but one day while we were eating dinner he said, “Thank you, God, for this great food. I wish that everyone in the world could have food as good as this.” And so was born his heart for missions.
We consecrated him before his birth to World Missions and we are ready to give him up to the work of the Lord as soon as he is ready. That is what his name “Enoch” means, “consecrated to God.”
Pretty soon we will talk to Enoch about making a faith promise with us and raising funds for the Waldrops and other “Missionberries” across the world.
