Notice Given About 2012 General Council Agenda
Church of God General Overseer Raymond F. Culpepper has released a statement regarding the submission of potential items for the 2012 International General Council /Assembly session.
The bi-ennial General Assembly is scheduled for July 24-27, 2012 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Preparations for the agenda of items to bring before the General Council of ordained bishops begins months in advance, culminating in a final agenda completed at the April 2012 meeting of the International Executive Council. The agenda is then distributed to ordained bishops prior to the General Assembly.
The following is the statement as released by the Office of the General Overseer:
“The International Executive Council is in the preparation stages for the International General Council/Assembly 2012 Agenda. The International General Council/Assembly Agenda Committee is currently receiving Agenda recommendations. This notice serves as a reminder that every recommendation is considered by the International Executive Council. In order to present the final items for the Agenda during the International Executive Council session in April 2012, I am requesting that anyone who has recommendations should send this information to the International Executive Council.”
Recommendations should be in writing and mailed to Church of God General Council/Assembly Agenda, P.O. Box 2430, Cleveland, TN 37320-2430.
