Church of God in Philippines Holds Regional Seminar

“ One small step for man, one giant leap “…for the Church of God, Philippines.

On August 4 -5, 2011, bookkeepers and accountants from each major region attended an accounting and reporting seminar at the Asian Center for Christian Ministries (ACCM). Personnel came from Mindanao, Northern Luzon, Visayas, Central/Southern Luzon, Metro Manila, National Office and ACCM to attend the training conducted by Funtamilla & Associates, CPA.

Sponsored by the Austral Asia Regional office, the Church of God in the Philippines is now standardizing its accounting and reporting processes nationwide. Superintendent Marc Morris states, “We are working to help them become completely computerized by 2012, using the same financial software throughout the country. This will expedite the channels of information and help the church attain accurate consolidated financial statements.”

Field Director Ken Anderson has energetically cast a vision for the church in Asia Pacific to emerge with ministry capabilities to effectively carry out the mission of world evangelization, church planting and leadership training. A major component needed to achieve these lofty goals is improving the financial stability and strength of the church by improving the administrative bases of operations.

“The church in the Philippines has so much potential. I believe more and more good news about the ministers and ministries will be coming soon. Their hunger for excellence in ministry is truly an inspiration and an exciting model to follow,” according to Superintendent Morris.
