The Church of God Philippines, under the guidance of leading pastor and Overseer Anthony Velasco, is set to host a major youth empowerment event called ASIAFEST 2013. Special music artist Ricardo Sanchez, along with guest speakers Tony Stewart and Velasco, will be the featured presenters. Local chatter is that Manny Pacquiao, a world-renowned boxer and recent convert, may even make a surprise visit to the June 6, 2013 event to give his inspirational testimony.

In cooperation with the international youth department, the Church of God Philippines has taken the torch from Dr. Scott Rains, Asia Pacific Education and Youth Director, in coordinating ASIAFEST. “ It is really exciting to see how the Church of God Philippines has embraced and expanded this ministry to effectively reach more young people,” states Field Director Ken Anderson. “ASIAFEST 2013 genuinely has the potential to impact thousands of Filipino and other Asian young people.”

“One of the greatest ideas to emerge in youth ministry within the Church of God is WinterFest” stated Marc A. Morris, Regional Superintendent Austral Asia. “It has spawned key youth events throughout the USA and the world. Great ideas need to be shared!”
