If you are interested in serving your community as a chaplain, this training seminar will equip you for an effective ministry outside the church. It is designed specifically for practical, hands-on, caregiving ministry – and it is for anyone interested – both pastors and lay workers from any denomination or faith group.
It is a full five days of training – it is like going to school – the goal is to train and equip. Topics include: the history and theology of chaplaincy, ethics, prayer in the public forum, grief counseling, suicide, Critical Incident Stress, confidentiality, death notifications, clergy/client privilege, sensitivity and diversity, legal issues, profile of emergency services workers, women in chaplaincy, correctional chaplaincy, law enforcement chaplaincy, institutional chaplaincy and many other relevant subjects.
There is a biblical mandate to go out “beyond the gates” of the church to reach a lost and hurting world for Christ. This seminar can prepare you for the challenge of ministry outside the church … out where the people are.
