The motion picture Susie’s Hope – which portrays the real-life story of a pit bull-attack survivor, a brutally abused, pit bull-mix puppy and their journey to heal and forgive together – will be available on DVD Jan. 5 from Green Apple Entertainment.

I am an advocate for churches having greeters—most of the time. But there are a few occasions where I think it’s best for the church to have no greeters at all. Indeed, if one or a few of these situations exist, greeters in the worship services can do more harm than good.

The November employment report was generally stronger than expected. From October, total payrolls were up 211,000 while private payrolls were up 197,000. Both payroll numbers were higher than pre-report estimates but lower than last month’s strong report.
