Church of God missionary intern Gale Beach responded to the call of God by giving up most of her things and most of her comforts. It all started when she was studying at the University of Bristol in England. She was studying social policy in England, surrounded by beautiful scenery and magnificent church buildings. Although pleasing to the eyes, she felt that the churches were cold and empty. Here, she felt her heart drawn more and more to Europe.
The Ministry to the Military (MTTM) is very fruitful in its use of the Ministerial Internship Program (MIP). This year, the MTTM had several complete the MIP and are moving into another phase of ministry.
For the past two weeks the Midwest and other parts of the country has been facing tornadoes, floods, severe thunderstorms, torrential rainfall and damaging winds. Along with these weather conditions, dams and levees are at risk of overflowing or giving way. Many cities along the Arkansas River are in danger as the water flows downstream creating disaster scenarios. The states of Ohio, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri have all been affected.
Lee University holds a wide variety of summer camps each year, several of which begin next week.
Cleveland, TN–Some in attendance at the 2019 MIP Commissioning Celebration and 40th Anniversary held on May 17-18 said it was one of the best celebrations ever. The more than 1,300 registered attendees were blessed with anointed preaching, inspiring worship, and commissioning of the 460+ MIP candidates and spouses.
Church of God Youth and Discipleship is once again coordinating the popular Teen Talent competition for youth ages 13-19. International competition for 2019 will take place July 29 – August 2 on the campus of Lee University.
