Cleveland, TN–Lee University athletics recently crossed a final hurdle toward gaining active membership in NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference (GSC) when the Division II Membership Committee voted to recommend Lee for full membership.
Cleveland, TN—July 29, 2015–Raymond E. Crowley was laid to rest today following a final memorial service for the former General Overseer of the Church of God. He passed away on July 21 at this home in Chincoteague, Virginia at the age of 92.
Cleveland, TN—Lee University is set to host family and friends of over 200 seniors who will receive graduate and undergraduate degrees from the university, August 1 at 10:30 a.m. in Conn Center.
In January 2002, Senior Pastor Acklan Quarrie began training lay leaders in the Bronxwood International Church of God and other neighboring churches in the greater New York City area by using the School of Ministry courses. He named the new school Athanasius School of Ministry. By the end of that first semester, 23 students had completed the first two courses.
Seldom has a project or an initiative captured the attention and touched the heart of an entire denomination quite like the Israel Initiative. I believe Church of God World Missions was directed of the Holy Spirit to adopt the Israel Initiative as its first emphasis of the Finish Challenge.
With the recent torrential rains throughout Kentucky, there has been flash floods and widespread flooding. One of the hardest hit areas is in the Johnson County, Ky. area. Operation Compassion is mobilizing a disaster response to this area working through OC’s coordinator in Kentucky, Dave Kilburn.
