During the North American Roundtable On Biblical Preaching in Melbourne, Florida last month, Mark Williams, general overseer of the Church of God, received the Global Synergize Award for 2015 from the Billion Soul Network.

Middle East Seminary Equips Students to Spread the Gospel

Recently, Church of God General Overseer Mark Williams visited a missionary project in an undisclosed Middle Eastern country. There are few nations in the region open to the Gospel, and although this nation is one that is less hostile, the law has harsh penalties for converting Muslims to another faith. While visiting, Dr. Williams spoke at an assembly of the churches in the desert country.

First Center of ‘African Firewall’ Project Dedicated in Mozambique

The first of six ministry centers along the so-called “African Firewall” project was dedicated on January 17 on the outskirts of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. The center was constructed in only 48 days by several teams from Men and Women of Action in the U.S. and workers from the Church of God in Brazil and Mozambique.

The 21-day Virtual Prayer Meeting by Church of God congregations is in its final week. According to Prayer Coordinator Doug Small, more than 3,500 connections have been made into the virtual prayer meeting from every state and some fifty nations.

Slain Georgia Couple Were Church of God Members

A Georgia couple that went missing on January 22 were active members of the Mount Paran North Church of God in Marietta, Ga. The case, which has made national news, appears to have come to a tragic end as the vehicle the couple was driving was found submerged in a lake and two bodies found nearby.
