CLEVELAND, TN: Last month the thirteen member Church of God World Missions Board and executive leadership convened a momentous board meeting in Cleveland, Tenn. Joined interactively by missionaries from three continents via video technology, the meeting reaffirmed the “Missional Mandate” of Church of God World Missions, further adopting an unprecedented strategy that focuses first on Unreached People Groups (UPGs), and secondly on the enhancement of global ministerial development and education.
In many countries it is difficult for the poor to find adequate medical care. Often they go untreated because of the scarcity of clinics and lack of medical equipment and supplies. With the increase in disease and injury prevalent in underdeveloped countries because of improper sanitation and lack of footwear, medical supplies become a life or death commodity. In response to this continuing need, Operation Compassion has sent a variety of medical supplies and equipment to eight countries.
Cleveland, TN—The journey of a growing library with over 6,000 volumes continued this week, as the collection found a new home at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary’s Center for Latino Studies (CLS). The Seminary dedicated a new library and resource center at the CLS’ location at 740 Walker Street NE in Cleveland, Tennessee last week.
The annual commissioning for the Church of God’s Ministerial Internship Program (MIP) will be held this Friday, May 16, and Saturday, May 17 in Cleveland, Tennessee. The theme for this year is “Let the Lord Have His Way.”
Cleveland, TN—The Pentecostal Theological Seminary recently announced its summer online and campus course schedule. Although the Seminary has entered into online education with a significant interest from across the United States, its summer J-term courses remain a popular offering among current students, alumni, and those interested in receiving additional ministry training.
The Historical Society of Church of God Movements will hold its annual meeting, May 22, 2014 at 9:30 AM, in Room B211 of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary.
