Six gospel artists will have the chance to become a gospel music star on a new reality program called The Gospel. The Gospel chronicles eight episodes as contestants compete for a national management contract with T.D. Jakes’ Dexterity Sounds and Marquis Boone Music Group. The first of its kind for gospel music, the winner of this Christian music competition will be announced with the opportunity to perform at the International Pastors & Leadership Conference in Tampa Bay on April 25.

April 2019 will mark Charisma magazine’s 500th issue. The magazine officially launched in August 1975, with Thurlow Spurr gracing the cover of the inaugural issue. CLEVELAND, TN–A multi-denominational leadership summit will be held in Cleveland, TN, on March 11-13, 2019. Hosted by the Church of God and the Church of God of Prophecy, this meeting will bring together church leaders representing numerous church and mission organizations engaged in ministry across Latin America. It is expected that some 90,000 local church congregations will be represented by their leadership at the summit.

I don’t like angry preachers. If a person mixes a sermon with hateful language, he’s in the wrong profession. Yet today we’ve jumped to the opposite extreme. Now we are so afraid of sounding angry that we stopped confronting sin altogether.

HISTORY’s eight-episode event “Jesus: His Life” explores the story of Jesus Christ through a unique lens: the people in his life who were closest to him. Each of the eight chapters is told from the perspective of different biblical figures, all of whom played a pivotal role in Jesus’ life including Joseph, John the Baptist, Mary Mother of Jesus, Caiaphas, Judas Iscariot, Pontius Pilate, Mary Magdalene and Peter.
