Joshua C. Peavy, a 28 year-old youth and music pastor at the Blackville Church of God, appeared Sunday, June 22on the debut episode of Rising Star on ABC television. In addition, Peavey was the first contestant to appear and received more than enough online positive votes to advance in the competition.

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed by a bipartisan majority The WWII Memorial Prayer Act (S1044). The Ohio Christian Alliance would like to commend the bill’s sponsors, Senator Rob Portman (OH) and Senator Mary Landrieu (LA), and Congressman Bill Johnson of Ohio’s 6th District, who was the House sponsor for their support of this historic legislation that will add FDR’s D-Day Landing prayer to the WWII memorial in Washington D.C.
