The Smoky Mountain Children’s Home lives every day in anticipation of God’s provision for the daily needs of the children and staff on campus. We witness the miraculous expressed in James 1:27 through various ways from our churches, individuals and the community.
Pastor Phillip Corbett was tired of hearing the success stories of other pastors. In 1985 he and his wife had moved to Corrigan, Texas, to plant a church. But after years of labor they saw minimal results. One day, in frustration, he began to pray a simple prayer: “Lord, I’m tired of hearing stories that belong to others; would you please give me some stories of my own?” This desperate prayer changed his life and ministry.
