Pastor Phillip Corbett was tired of hearing the success stories of other pastors. In 1985 he and his wife had moved to Corrigan, Texas, to plant a church. But after years of labor they saw minimal results. One day, in frustration, he began to pray a simple prayer: “Lord, I’m tired of hearing stories that belong to others; would you please give me some stories of my own?” This desperate prayer changed his life and ministry.

On Wednesday,June 6, on a 33-26 vote, the House Armed Services Committee approved a religious freedom amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The amendment, authored by U.S. Rep.
