A momentous occasion was held recently as a local Church of God in Prague hosted eight other Church of God congregations to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Church of God being legally registered and officially recognized as a church in the Czech Republic!
Sevierville, TN– She was just a little girl with a big, benevolent heart, and she wanted so much to help others. But, what could she do? After all, she was only eight years old, living on a farm in rural Alabama. What can a third grader do that would be of benefit to anyone? Lili-Grace, the daughter of John and Chasity McPeek, pondered these questions.
Last January, Mark Williams, general overseer of the Church of God, led the way in a 21-day Virtual Prayer Initiative that connected leaders, pastors and the laity across the nation in a two-hour nightly prayer call.
Approximately ten years ago, a Chattanooga, Tenn. dentist approached Operation Compassion with an idea to help Orphanage Emmanuel in Comayaguela, Honduras. The vision was to send raw wheat to the orphanage, teach them to mill it and use the flour to bake goods in support of the more than 600 children housed there. A partnership was born and Dr. Don Reynolds and Operation Compassion have been sending wheat ever since.
