One of the greatest tools in the discipleship process is small group ministry. The first National Conference for Small Group Leaders will be held in Cleveland, Tennessee on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
Los Angeles, Calif.– Leaders from six global Pentecostal denominations, representing over 90 million members combined, recently met in Los Angeles to discuss a wide range of international and domestic topics.
Every year local congregations in the Church of God are encouraged to set aside a time for recognizing and honoring the shepherd that has been anointed to lead the church. Pastor Appreciation resources are available through the Men’s Discipleship ministry of the Church of God. The theme for the 2015 Pastor Appreciation Emphasis is ONE With Our Pastor in Faith, Unity, and Mission based on Joshua 1:1-9.
February 24, 2015–With snow blanketing the Cleveland, Tennessee area today, the Pentecostal Theological Seminary has altered the schedule for the 13th annual Clarence J. Abbott Lectures in Biblical Studies. The lectures will now be given on Wednesday, February 25 in Knight Hall and Thursday, February 26, in Cross Memorial Chapel at the Seminary. The theme of the lectures is “A Pentecostal Theology of Worship and the Book of Revelation.”
Just in time for winter, Operation Compassion, an independent benevolent organization with ties to the Church of God, received a grant for more than 225,000 blankets for distribution to its partners.
“Elohim” is the Hebrew word for “God,” and the Church of God in South America has developed a God-led church growth program known as Elohim 20/20. It expresses their clear vision for doubling the number of churches.
