The Missions Week project for this year is supporting ministry in Abuja, Nigeria, and the theme is “Restore: Hope.” Students will target to raise funds to build a facility that could host a medical clinic, an educational facility, and/or a benevolence center for food or clothing. Matching funds have already been approved.
Chapel in the Conn Center on the Lee campus begins on Tuesday at 10:40 a.m. with special guest, Pastor Lane Lavender, the brother of Dee Lavender. Dee was a missions student at Lee University and was in Panama for an Intercultural Studies practicum. After being there for a short time, she became seriously ill and did not survive.
Alternative Chapel in the Dixon Center will be “Seek: Missional Lifestyle.” On Thursday at 10:40 a.m., the chapel service will be a “Celebration and Flag Service.”
