The Phoebe Grey Orphanage in Liberia, Africa, stands at the center of Church of God efforts to help a nation still gripped by the reminders of a long and tragic civil war, a nation ravaged by disease, a nation that continues to need moral examples, and a nation that must hear the message of Jesus’ love for them.
The International Executive Committee has announced the keynote speakers for the 76th International General Assembly (GA16), which will be held at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee on July 19-22, 2016.
Isaiah 60:1-2 … “Arise, shine; for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.”
The Church of God has a program within the Division of Education called Calling and Ministry Studies (CAMS). In the state of Kentucky, the Church of God has made a concerted effort to train younger ministerial candidates. Last year, in Kentucky, the average age of the applicant was 39. This year, the average age is 29. At the recent testing date for the Exhorter exam, three teenagers passed the Exhorter exam, becoming credentialed ministers in the Church of God.
Frontier Kidfest will be the opening Kidfest event in the Kidfest season 2016 on April 8-10 at the Westin Hotel in Irving, Texas, the Frontier Kidfest will attract hundreds.
When delegates of the 76th International General Assembly of the Church of God gather in Nashville, Tennessee this July, there will be features unique to this venue that are poised make the gathering one of the most enjoyable and productive in recent years.
